Evaluation

Our task was to create a short documentary about any subject the only requirements was it has to personal to us, a subject we are really passionate about. I decided to base my documentary on ethnicity in how lations feel when they’re asked what ethic group they categorise themselves in. Most of the time we don’t even have category so we must tick “other” and we aren’t other, we are LATIONS.

The filming process was pretty easy as I can my own equipment and didn’t have to relie on borrowing equipment from the college. The camera I used was Cannon DSLR 600D, microphone, and tripod. For me the most difficult part was to set up a date and time for the interviews. Setting up the interviews was trickily because people have different schedules and find a location where is good to film and it has to be a quite area. Another, problem was when I interviewed my guess I didn’t connect the microphone properly  and the sound only comes out on the right side. I notice this when transferring the video to Premiere. I think sound is the area where I lack in the video techniques I’m quite confident.
